Rajah & Tann Asia makes significant strides in the latest rankings by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific (2019)

Rajah & Tann Asia’s leading dispute resolution practice makes significant strides in the latest rankings by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific (2019) which saw a marked increase in the number of countries, leading lawyers and practice areas ranked.

The network saw vast improvements in the number of ranked offices from four to six this year. More practice areas have also been recognised, from nine to 28 this year, almost a 70% jump from the previous year.

There has also been an increase in ranked lawyers with 25 partners named as “Dispute Resolution Stars” and six lawyers as “Future Stars” in Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific 2019 survey of dispute resolution and litigation practices and practitioners.

The New York-based publisher is a specialist information provider that is reputedly the definitive guide on dispute resolution and litigation in the international and regional markets.

“Dispute Resolution Stars” describe partners who are recognised for their work and expertise in their respective practices while “Future Stars” are mostly younger lawyers who are emerging in the market and earning an increasing level of recognition to the point where they could foreseeably be successors to some of the more established names within the rankings. Benchmark also conducts similar surveys for the legal industries in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe.

Benchmark identifies leading attorneys by conducting extensive interviews with dispute resolution specialists and litigators, and their clients. It also examines recent casework handled by law firms and gather professional opinions on practitioners within their jurisdictions and practice areas across the region.
