Time and Costs Management for Southeast Asia Infrastructure Projects

On 28 September 2026, Rajah & Tann Asia organised a seminar titled “Time and Costs Management for Southeast Asia Infrastructure Projects” in Tokyo, Japan.

As infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia become increasingly complex, effective management of time- and cost-related risks is more important than ever. Drawing on their experience with projects in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand, the speakers shared practical insights and regional perspectives on extension of time (EOT), liquidated damages (LD), prolongation claims, contract administration and dispute avoidance. They also explored practical approaches to managing project risks, preventing disputes and administering contracts effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

The speakers were Partners Shuhei Otsuka (Head, Japan Desk), Sim Chee Siong (Head, Construction & Projects), Soh Lip San and Matthew Koh from Rajah & Tann Singapore; Eri Hertiawan and Simon Barrie Sasmoyo from Assegaf Hamzah & Parters; and Counsel Shota Kawaguchi from Rajah & Tann (Thailand) Limited, together with our guest speaker from MASIN.
