Navigating Global AI and Robotic Transactional and Regulatory Challenges

On 21 May 2026, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Rajah & Tann Singapore, and Fangda Partners (Singapore) co-organised a seminar titled “Navigating Global AI and Robotic Transactional and Regulatory Challenges”.

Amid rising geopolitical tensions, artificial intelligence (“AI“) and robotic intelligence continue to advance at a rapid pace, with industry players increasingly seeking opportunities to collaborate and integrate. As the sector evolves, regulatory considerations have become a key factor in the success of transactions involving AI and robotics intelligence. With Singapore positioned as a global and Asia-Pacific hub for innovation, businesses from both the East and West are continuing to explore opportunities through strategic partnerships and deals in this space.

At the seminar, the speakers discussed how businesses can navigate the regulatory challenges that arise in AI and robotic intelligence transactions, from product launches and quasi-joint venture collaborations to technology transactions, talent acquisitions and intellectual property asset deals. Topics covered included:

  • Overview of AI, Robotics and Technology Transactions
  • Due Diligence and Common Issues
  • Regulatory Hurdles for Structuring Deals involving China, US and EU amid Geopolitics
  • Opportunities amid Geopolitical Challenges

The speakers were Partners Benjamin Cheong (Deputy Head, Technology, Media & Telecommunications) and Terence Quek (Deputy Head, Mergers & Acquisitions), together with Maneesha Mithal, Barath Chari and Cédric Burton from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Peng Tan, Gil Zhang and Muran Sun from Fangda Partners (Singapore).
