Successfully advised and acted for Mandiri Investment Management Pte Ltd in defending a claim of wrongful termination of employment brought by the ex-employee CEO. This case was significant as it involved an area of employment law that had not been determined by the Singapore Courts, namely, whether the act of placing an employee on garden leave in the absence of an express provision in the employment contract empowering the employer to do so amounted to wrongful termination of employment.
