Derivatives and hedging transactions in connection with the development of Keppel Sakra Cogen, a 600MW advanced combined cycle gas turbine power plant

We advised Keppel Infrastructure and Keppel Energy on the derivatives and hedging transactions in connection with the development of a 600MW state-of-the-art, advanced combined cycle gas turbine power plant to be built in the Sakra sector of Jurong Island. The Keppel Sakra Cogen, when built in 2026, will be the first hydrogen-ready power plant in Singapore. The ground-breaking ceremony of the plant took place in July 2023. This new generation of combined gas turbine is considered to be crucial in ensuring the lowering of Singapore’s carbon footprint and at the same time a reliable energy supply in the future.
