Christopher & Lee Ong (CLO) is pleased to share that Sanjay Mohan Advocates & Solicitors joined us on 1 January 2026. The merger with this highly respected boutique disputes firm significantly strengthens our Disputes and Arbitration practices.
This expansion brings 28 disputes lawyers to our team, including senior partners Sanjay Mohan and Choon Hon Leng, and partners Shannon Rajan, Wong Li-Wei, Adam Lee, Siew Suet Mey, and Khor Yongshi, as well as consultant Lynette Yeow.
New Leadership
As part of the merger, Sanjay Mohan assumes the role of Head of Disputes at CLO. With more than 30 years of experience and a track record spanning over a hundred arbitrations and court matters, Sanjay is widely regarded as a leading disputes practitioner in Malaysia. His leadership strengthens our ability to guide clients through sophisticated commercial, construction, and energy disputes.
A Team of Proven Specialists
The partners joining us also bring deep and complementary strengths:
Hon Leng specialises in construction, infrastructure, and energy projects, advising clients from contract formation through to dispute resolution. He has led numerous domestic and international arbitrations and is recognised for providing commercially grounded advice that helps clients manage risk and keep projects on track. His practical perspective and strong sector knowledge make him a trusted adviser on large-scale developments.
Shannon brings nearly two decades of experience spanning construction, environmental, aviation, and regulatory risk matters. He regularly represents clients in arbitration, mediation, and adjudication and has also been appointed as an arbitrator and adjudicator. His strength lies in combining legal expertise with operational awareness, enabling clients to make informed decisions in high-stakes situations.
Li-Wei advises on a broad range of construction and engineering disputes, with experience in complex technical matters across major infrastructure projects. Clients appreciate her methodical approach, attention to detail, and ability to clearly distil intricate issues into practical, actionable guidance.
Adam’s practice focuses on construction and commercial dispute resolution, including arbitrations under various institutional rules. He has extensive experience with technically intensive disputes involving geotechnical works, power-plant systems, and performance securities. His analytical depth and thorough preparation make him a strong advocate for clients facing sophisticated claims.
Suet Mey supports clients across the full spectrum of construction and engineering disputes. Known for her pragmatic approach and steady client engagement, she helps clients address issues proactively and resolve disputes efficiently, whether through arbitration, adjudication, or court proceedings.
Yongshi advises on construction and energy disputes as well as project advisory and investigations. She has experience working with cross-border clients, including Chinese state-owned enterprises, and offers a practical, commercially attuned perspective on resolving project challenges. Her collaborative style and strong technical grounding make her a valuable resource for clients navigating complex matters.
The merger comes at a pivotal time as businesses navigate an upswing in cross-border transactions, regulatory shifts, and increasingly complex disputes. Arbitration has also become more entrenched as the dispute resolution mechanism of choice, particularly for international parties seeking speed, neutrality, and confidentiality.
This merger reinforces our commitment to clients to deliver legal services of depth and breadth, and reflects CLO’s ambition to continually raise the standard of service, offering clients solutions that combine scale with precision across different facets of corporate and disputes work.
We thank you for your trust over the years, and look forward to continuing our partnership with you and supporting your matters with even greater depth and capability.
