Rajah & Tann Singapore Contributes to In-Depth: Construction Disputes – Singapore Chapter

Rajah & Tann Singapore has contributed the Singapore chapter of In-Depth: Construction Disputes published by Law Business Research.

Singapore’s construction sector continues to navigate a challenging landscape, shaped by rising input costs, trade tensions and global uncertainty. These pressures have, in turn, contributed to a higher incidence of disputes. Authored by International Arbitration and Construction & Projects Partners Andre Yeap, SC, Soh Lip San, Matthew Koh and Benny Santoso, the Singapore chapter explores how the country’s mature dispute resolution ecosystem – encompassing mediation, adjudication, arbitration and an efficient court system – delivers speed, enforceability and commercial practicality, enabling stakeholders to maintain cash flows, stabilise projects and manage risks. It also highlights recent Singapore court decisions that have further enhanced the legal framework for construction dispute resolution, providing clearer guidance on parties’ rights and obligations.

The Singapore chapter serves as a practical guide for employers, contractors, subcontractors and other stakeholders seeking to navigate construction disputes with clarity and commercial focus amidst an increasingly complex built environment.

The full Singapore chapter is available here (registration required to access the document). This chapter was first published on Lexology.

The chapter was prepared with the assistance of Senior Associates Chrystal Lee, Jackie Tay, Jerry Wang and Sandi Tun, Associates Charissa Wong, Sean Gregory Rappa and Vanessa Ku, and Practice Trainee Lim Jean Yee.
