Masterclass on Maritime & Trade Disputes: “Effective Methods for Dispute Avoidance and Resolution in Shipping and Trade”

On 21 November 2025, Rajah & Tann Singapore and Tatavarty Law Chambers (Vizag) jointly organised a Masterclass on Maritime & Trade Disputes focusing on “Effective Methods for Dispute Avoidance and Resolution in Shipping and Trade” in Visakhapatnam, India.

The event, which brought together over 60 industry professionals from the maritime and trade sectors, consisted of presentations on topics such as “Basics of Dispute Resolution in Maritime and Trade” and “Practical Maritime Arbitration and Trade Dispute Scenarios”, as well as industry-focused discussion on commercial risks, operational challenges, and the role of arbitration in resolving disputes in the shipping and trade industry.

Rajah & Tann speakers comprised Partners Jainil Bhandari, V Bala and Divyesh Menon from the Shipping & International Trade Practice. Other speakers and panellists included Srikanth Navale, T.V.S.K. Kanakaraju, Capt. Sushil Shankar, Ragam Kishore, and Capt S Divakar.
