LearningBytes 2025: Are You Prepared for the New AML Landscape in Property Transactions?

On 15 October 2025, Rajah & Tann held its LearningBytes seminar series for the month, titled “Are Your Prepared for the New AML Landscape in Property Transactions?”.

The regulations on anti-money laundering (“AML“), counter-terrorism financing (“CFT“), and proliferation financing (“PF“) regulations have recently been enhanced. At the seminar, the speakers shared insights on the evolving AML, CFT and PF regulations for developers and property professionals. They unpacked practical compliance measures, recent legislative updates, and common pitfalls in implementing robust AML/CFT frameworks, providing guidance on strengthening compliance across the property value chain.

The speakers were Partners Thong Chee Kun (Co-Head, Fraud, Asset Recovery & Investigations) and Gazalle Mok (Corporate Real Estate), Senior Associate Ng Pei Qi, and Raymond Lum (Group Chief Executive, Rajah & Tann Technologies).
