On 23 April 2025, the United Arab Emirates (“UAE“) Singapore Business Council and Rajah & Tann Singapore organised an event titled “Investing in the UAE & Middle East: Growth Opportunities & Legal Insights”. The event brought together local experts from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai’s leading law firm M&CO Legal as well as Dubai Chambers. Partner V Bala from the Shipping & International Trade Practice opened the seminar with his introductory remarks of the UAE and the Middle East as a high-growth region. Partner Michelle Li, Head of the International Arbitration, Construction & Projects Practice at Rajah & Tann Singapore’s Shenzhen Representative Office, moderated a panel discussion on doing business in the UAE, where the panellists provided insights on what to expect and look out for when expanding into the UAE. Managing Partner Ng Kim Beng delivered the Closing Remarks, where he reiterated Rajah & Tann’s commitment to fostering dialogue and building stronger connections with UAE counterparts to support Rajah & Tann’s clients as they navigate cross-border opportunities in these high-growth regions.
