On 20 August 2026, the Competition & Antitrust and Trade Practice organsied a seminar titled “Cartels and Bid Rigging: Navigating the Minefield”.
Cartel and bid-rigging cases are increasingly making headlines in Singapore and abroad. This suggests two things: such conduct – including price fixing and market sharing – remains a key enforcement priority, and businesses are seemingly cross the lines and getting into violations.
The speakers examined the key issues surrounding cartel conduct and deep dive into one of the most prevalent and heavily penalised forms of cartel conduct: bid rigging. Drawing on real enforcement experience and recent regulatory developments, they provided practical guidance on navigating increasingly complex competition law risks.
The speakers were Partners Kala Anandarajah, BBM (Head, Competition & Antitrust and Trade), Tanya Tang (Chief Economic and Policy Advisor), and Joshua Seet.
