Rajah & Tann Singapore (“Rajah & Tann”) is proud to participate in EnterpriseSG’s Champions of AI programme, recognising the firm’s ambition to harness artificial intelligence (“AI”) to progressively transform the traditional legal business model.
Rajah & Tann is one of 24 companies across various sectors, and the only law firm participating in the inaugural cohort. The programme supports Singapore-based companies pursuing enterprise-wide transformation through AI, including the development of long-term AI transformation roadmaps, internal capabilities, workforce redesign and upskilling.
The recognition marks the next phase of Rajah & Tann’s vision to become a people-powered, AI-enabled and future-ready law firm, where technology augments rather than replaces human expertise.
Over the past two years, Rajah & Tann has built a strong foundation for AI adoption through firm-wide deployment and training, while developing AI-enabled legal workflows to enhance productivity, quality, consistency and client service. The firm’s next phase will focus on moving beyond the use of AI as an individual productivity tool to systematically redesign how legal work is delivered.
Ng Kim Beng, Managing Partner, Rajah & Tann Singapore, said “Being named a Champion of AI marks an important milestone in Rajah & Tann’s journey to become a people-powered, AI-enabled, future-ready law firm. Our competitive advantage comes not just from AI tools alone, but how we effectively combine technology with the collective knowhow, expertise and professional judgement built across the firm over decades of legal practice. Our goal is to rethink how legal services are delivered, so that our lawyers can focus their time on judgement, strategic thinking and creativity that our clients value most.”
Rajah & Tann is taking a responsible approach to this transformation, with appropriate safeguards to protect client confidentiality, information barriers and data governance requirements.
Through the Champions of AI programme, Enterprise Singapore and relevant Government agencies will work with the firm to utilise AI to address some of our business challenges and support our firm-wide transformation, capability building, change management, workplace redesign and workforce upskilling.
