  • Acted for a public listed shipping entity and its 20 subsidiaries in one of the first few moratorium applications under the previous sections 211B and 211C of the Companies Act to facilitate the restructuring of a syndicated loan debt of US$480 million.
  • Acted for a banking institution in relation to allegations of failure to execute investment trade orders.
  • Acting for a banking institution in a dispute involving Quincecare duty and withdrawal of assets and funds from the accounts of high-net-worth individuals.
  • Acted for a public institution in striking out legal proceedings commenced against it.
  • Acted for local and Chinese entities in various shareholders’ disputes arising from joint venture agreements, including removal of directors, co-founders and share buy-outs.
  • Acted for all 3 local banks in relation to a public listed group of shipping entities’ debt restructuring of around US$1.3 billion involving parallel cross-border proceedings.
  • Acted for foreign / offshore liquidators in obtaining recognition of foreign liquidation proceedings in Singapore.
  • Conducted investigations for a bunker trading entity following whistleblower’s allegations of wrongdoing.
  • Acted for lending institutions in various disputes arising from loan agreements, guarantees, security documents and moratorium applications [2019] 5 SLR 709, [2023] SGHC 148.
  • Acted for a fintech entity providing cryptocurrency trading services in staying court proceedings in favour of arbitration [2021] SGHCR 9.
