Dwight is a partner of C&G Law and a key member of the firm’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector group and Corporate & Commercial practice group.
Dwight has been recognised as a Recommended Lawyer, Rising Star, and Leading Associate by Legal 500 from 2023 to 2025, and was also nominated as Rising Star of the Year for TMT in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards. He was involved in M&A transactions which won the Editor’s Choice Impact Deal and Case Awards in the 2025 edition of the Asialaw Awards and was nominated as M&A Deal of the Year in the 2024 edition of Asian Legal Business’ Philippine Law Awards.

Dwight is also a faculty member in the Ateneo de Naga University College of Law, where he teaches corporate and securities law, technology law, and international law. He has also given lectures on data privacy, fintech, corporate governance, and contract drafting and negotiations.

TMT and FinTech
- Acting for a leading Big Tech conglomerate in its collaboration with the Philippine government to set up cable landing stations in the Philippines.
- Advising a multinational digital banking firm on Philippine law issues concerning its substantial stake in a leading digital bank.
- Advising Big Tech corporations, streaming platforms, and software-as-a-service (SAAS) providers, among other members of the TMT sector, on data privacy and regulatory concerns regarding their product launches in the Philippines.
- Acting for credit card companies, payment service providers, and other members of the fintech sector on regulatory concerns such as data privacy, doing business in the Philippines, and licenses applicable to their operations.
- Conducting organisation-wide privacy audits and preparing privacy documents for an international hotel chain and a collective management organisation, among other key clients.
M&A and Investments
Dwight’s M&A and investments experience includes acting in several high-profile and/or complex transactions for key clients, such as:
- Acting for a leading multinational bank in its investments in a leading mobile payments service provider (estimated transaction value of PHP 21.8 billion).
- Acting for a leading multinational fintech provider with subsidiaries/affiliates across Southeast Asia, including an insurance company and a bank in the Philippines (estimated transaction value of PHP 20 billion).
- Acting for a global food and beverage group selling its stake in the Philippine bottler and distributor of the group’s products (estimated transaction value of PHP100 billion).
- Acting for a multinational bank acting as lender in a secured loan concerning a reclamation project (estimated transaction value of PHP 23 billion).
- Acting for a global fintech and asset management company in the secured loans it extended to the Philippine subsidiaries of logistics companies (estimated transaction values of PHP 1.1 billion and PHP 800 million).
- Acting for a renewable energy developer in a project finance transaction (estimated transaction value of PHP 2.4 billion).
- Acting for a global asset management firm in a series of transactions (share purchase, tender offer, and convertible loan) involving the disposition of its shares in a chain of hospitals (estimated transaction value of PHP18 billion).
- Acting for a global fintech firm in an acquisition of a lending company with a registered online lending platform.
- Acting for a multinational private equity firm in its indirect investment in a financing company with a registered online lending platform.
