Government of the Republic of Indonesia (“GOI”)’s issuance of Japanese Yen denominated bonds

Acted as the Indonesian legal counsel to the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (“GOI”), as the Issuer, on the issuance of Japanese Yen denominated bonds (“Samurai Bonds”) on 27 May 2021. The GOI issued JPY 100 billion Samurai Bonds in six series, ranging between 3-20 years. The issuance also managed to score a benchmark size of JPY 100 billion, for the seventh time since 2015. Partner Mohammad Renaldi Zulkarnain led the transaction.
