Assegaf Hamzah & Partners, member firm of Rajah & Tann Asia, advised the Joint Lead Underwriters, Bank of China (Hong Kong), HSBC, and Standard Chartered Bank, on the Republic of Indonesia’s inaugural CNH‑denominated (Dim Sum) bond issuance valued at CNH6 billion. The issuance attracted strong demand from international and onshore Chinese investors, generating a final order book of CNH18 billion and reflecting market confidence in Indonesia’s economic fundamentals and fiscal strength.
This landmark transaction marks Indonesia’s debut in the offshore Renminbi bond market and underscores the government’s commitment to diversifying funding sources and broadening its global investor base, particularly among Chinese investors.
The matter was led by Managing Partner Ahmad Fikri Assegaf and Partner Renaldi Zulkarnain, supported by Associate Bintang Setiadi Pratama and Foreign Associate Dawn Zhou.
