Listing in Singapore – A New Beginning

On 23 January 2026, Rajah & Tann organised a seminar titled “Listing in Singapore – A New Beginning” in Hong Kong.

At the seminar, the speakers examined Singapore’s evolving capital markets landscape and the opportunities it presents for companies seeking to go public. They shared insights on why the Singapore Exchange (“SGX”) is an attractive platform for both local and foreign issuers, including companies from the People’s Republic of China (“PRC“) and Hong Kong. They also highlighted how an SGX listing can be a strategic stepping stone for issuers that are seeking, or already hold, listings on stock exchanges in the PRC, Hong Kong, or the United States.

The speakers further discussed Singapore’s revamped fundraising and liquidity environment, including the S$5 billion Equity Market Development Programme (EMDP) and streamlined listing processes aimed at enhancing market access and efficiency.

The speakers comprised Partners Howard Cheam (Head) and Mui Hui Tan (Deputy Head) from the Capital Markets Practice, Hwee Ling Tay and Ambrose Ting from Deloitte, and Chia Caihan from SGX Group.

The event was supported by Deloitte.
