Singapore, 12 September 2025 – Rajah & Tann Singapore (R&T) is proud to announce its participation in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL), and legaltech solution provider Lexagle Pte Ltd (Lexagle), aimed at nurturing future-ready talent and positioning Singapore as a vibrant legaltech hub.
This strategic collaboration brings together leading institutions from education, law, and technology to equip NP students and staff with industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills in legaltech and emerging legal governance technologies. The initiative supports Singapore’s broader ambition to build a digitally empowered legal ecosystem and strengthen the employability of its Information and Communication Technology workforce.
Under the MOU, R&T will contribute its deep expertise in legaltech and legal innovation through curriculum development, guest lectures, workshops, and mentorship. The firm will also explore opportunities to provide NP students and staff with access to its proprietary technologies, training platforms, and internship placements.
“We are excited to collaborate with NP, SAL, and Lexagle to shape the next generation of legaltech professionals,” said Abdul Jabbar bin Karam Din, Partner at R&T. “As Singapore continues to evolve as a global legal innovation hub, it is imperative that we invest in the next generation of professionals who will shape the future of legal services. Through this partnership, Rajah & Tann is committed to sharing our expertise and resources to empower students and educators with the skills and insights needed to thrive in a digitally transformed legal landscape.”
The MOU outlines a framework for joint projects, co-development of learning content, and industry-in-curriculum initiatives that integrate real-world legal technology applications into NP’s diploma and continuing education programmes. It also supports SAL’s development of the SkillsFuture Skills Framework for allied legal professionals in legaltech roles.
R&T’s involvement builds on its longstanding reputation as a leader in legal innovation, with recent accolades including the ALITA Award for Outstanding Legal Innovator and the Financial Times’ recognition for Innovation in Cybersecurity and Data Governance
