Michelle specialises in domestic and cross-border ship financing and in non-contentious aviation matters, which include aircraft financing, leasing, sale of aircraft and purchase and registration.

Her practice includes acting for borrowers and lenders in secured and unsecured lending, leasing and financing transactions involving vessels and aircraft.

Michelle has represented both local and foreign banks, export credit agencies, airlines, financial institutions, owners and lessees in various financing transactions throughout her career.

EXPERIENCE

  • Advising on the financing and leasing of aircraft to airline subsidiaries for an export credit agency.
  • Acting as lead counsel in a US$300 million term financing and US$45 million bridging financing for the conversion of a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) system.
  • Advising on a joint venture between airlines on airline operations into Singapore.
  • Representing a syndicate of banks in credit facilities exceeding US$2 billion for a company specialising in semi-submersible accommodation and service rigs.
