AREAS OF SUPPORT
The Rajah & Tann Foundation aims to support pilot projects which are in keeping with our mission and goals. Our focus is on innovative pilot schemes which will benefit the community. We will provide seed funding for the chosen projects, allowing them to get off the ground and develop into full-fledged organizations.
Although our focus is on pilot programmes rather than existing or standard causes, our Small Grants Committee will still assess applications based on individual merit.
The Foundation is community-oriented, and our focus is on initiatives in the following areas:
Children and Youths
The youth represent the future of our global community and in supporting their education and development we support our community’s growth and sustenance. The Foundation thus supports programmes that invest in nurturing our youth, particularly those from an underprivileged background.
Elderly and Aged
The elderly population requires specialised care and help, in keeping with their particular needs. We believe their years of contribution should not go unrewarded. The Foundation thus encourages projects which assist the aged and facilitate their leading of a healthy and dignified life.
The Underprivileged
The community is always at the forefront of the Foundation’s endeavours, and this entails reaching out to the disadvantaged and needy sections of society. We believe in programmes that seek to provide assistance to these underprivileged groups and individuals and to improve their standard of living.
